Small Business Saturday: Katy Sports & Fitness | Katy Moms
Small Business Saturday, Featuring Katy Sports & Fitness

Happy Small Business Saturday, Mamas! We hosted a Mama Meetup at Katy Sports & Fitness today, so thought it’d be the perfect chance to highlight them for Small Business Saturday!
Katy Sports and Fitness is on 1093 located directly behind locally owned and operated pre-school The I School. KSF is owned by Trey Capers, son of Director of The I School, Dana Capers. After years of heading up the Physical Education program at his mothers school, Trey knew he wanted to continue working with children, as well as incorporate his passion for fitness. He also quickly realized that there were very few if any QUALITY fitness & instructional sports afterschool programs in the Katy area.

So Trey opened KSF in the summer of 2017, with the goal of providing a place where kids and adults could learn to make a healthy lifestyle part of their every day. Their facility provides premier sports and fitness instruction for all ages and they’re passionate about brining what they do inside their walls out into the community.
Katy Sports and Fitness is a unique environment that offers a variety of services including Afterschool & Summer Camp with sports & fitness based curriculum, Personal Training, Small Group Sessions, Private Sports Instruction, Batting Cage Rentals, Parents Night Out, Birthday Parties, and more! Seriously, these guys do it all! And they LOVE the Katy community!
Their instructors and trainers are meant to be in this business and they choose them very carefully. Every staff member on the team has years of professional experience training, instructing and teaching hundreds of people of all ages how to improve their skill and fitness levels. Whether they are looking to prepare an athlete to compete in college, make their high school team, improve their health to make an older individual become more independent or simply helping someone who is looking to better themselves, they make it their mission to aid in anything their clients want and need. Their trainers have the same passion and commitment to anyone who walks through their doors.
We love unique businesses that moms and kids can appreciate and KSF is not your typical sports and fitness facility! They don’t require memberships. Who doesn’t love a no strings attached fitness experience? They’re also not your average afterschool program or summer camp! They fixate on implementing sports and fitness techniques to help prepare children for the next level and influence them to develop healthy lifestyle habits. They also offer multiple sports instruction including football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. Their beautiful facility comes with 8,500 square feet of turf covered indoor area, outdoor basketball court, sand volleyball court, and two additional sizable outdoor turf areas.

Their approach is what makes them truly unique. Trainers, coaches, and instructors alike share one common approach and that is to educate their clients, students and athletes on their particular sport(s) or fitness from a mental, physical and situational standpoint to further assist their understanding of what they are learning in order to more effectively put their hard work into achieving better results. The KSF staff members recognize themselves as role models and that they have a big hand in helping their clients live a life of healthy habits including both daily exercise and a balanced nutritional diet. Finally, people are more apt to participate if they are having fun, right!? KSF does a wonderful job at making all exercise fun and the environment is comfortable for everyone. Behind those doors and out in the community, their goal is to promote positivity.
