Well the heat index is only 112 today….. agh! It is hot, y’all! This part of the summer can be brutal. Your kids needs to get their energy out, but you’re stuck inside because you’ll have a heat stroke as soon as you walk out the door and spending money on indoor play every day isn’t going to work.
Splash Pads are one of the best inventions ever! EVERY neighborhood needs to get one built stat. They are perfect for letting our kiddos run around, get all that energy out, and stay cool at the same time. PLUS, they are FREE!
So without further ado, here are the splash pads we have found in and around Katy that are open to the public (no gate = public in our book!)! No neighborhood key needed!
Anserra Trails Neighborhood Splash Pad
Intersection of Kingsland Blvd. and Fielder Village Lane, Katy, TX 77494.
Next to the neighborhood’s pool and playground. Not covered, next to a pavilion. No Bathroom.
Director’s Park Splash Pad

Next to large playground with play structure and swings, picnic tables and park benches, and walking paths that total approximately ½ mile.
Grand Lakes Neighborhood Splash Pad
Grand Star, Katy, TX 77450
Nice play area inside a round-a-bout that includes 3 areas: a large playscape, swing set area, and splash pad. In the middle of those areas is a nice covered pavilion with patio tables. No bathroom.
Green Trails Desert Ivy Park Splash Pad
Desert Ivy Drive, Houston, TX 77094
Splash pad next to a fun playground with a large playscape including unique climbing structures, swings, and several covered pavilions. No bathroom.
Nottingham Park

Silver Ranch Neighborhood splash pad. Next to gated pool, but the splash pad is ungated. No Bathroom.
Westgreen Park Splash Pad

Splash Pad next to two playgrounds. Table and benches near splash pad, but no shade over them or the splash pad. Playgrounds have shade structures. No bathroom.
