A community built on the mission to bring moms together is coming to Katy this Fall!
Studio Mom said it best: “it takes a village to raise a mother.” Can we get an amen for that!? And can we get an extra amen for a community built on the mission to bring moms together! Studio Mom was founded by Katie Tai shortly after the birth of her daughter when she truly needed her mom tribe, a place for true camaraderie in motherhood. Realizing that nothing like this existed in her area of Houston, she decided to create it!
She wanted to create something intimate and special for moms- a village, a tribe, and a parenting confidence-booster. Passionate about supporting mamas as they flourish in motherhood, Studio Mom was born and designed to cultivate an empowering environment that encourages women to establish deep, meaningful relationships with other moms (find your mom bestie as they say!) while building confidence in themselves and their parenting – all over a cup of coffee! Someone say caffeine!?
These aren’t your regular Mommy & Me Meetups. Studio Mom challenges the status quo with a mama-centered program that incorporates real talk, connects moms with community resources and local experts, in the hopes that you leave feeling empowered, full of knowledge, and like you made some life-long friends. With immense value placed on authentic dialogue and giving women space to connect Katie says SM has emerged into a beautiful community of women supporting women during some of the most challenging years of their life.
You know we love to tell you all about the best resources for moms, especially anything aimed at uniting moms and this is one of them, Mamas! Started originally in The Heights, Studio Mom is now launching in Katy! Their Fall series launches in September and will be held at Stomping Grounds, which is one of the best places for littles and a good cup of joe!
Although Katie will be a huge part of the Katy meet ups, she brought on Taylor Borcik to be the local Katy coordinator. Taylor is the founder, designer, and shop owner of Sweetpea Blooms and literally makes some of the cutest dang earrings in the world.
She’s also mama to a sweet daughter and recognized early on in her motherhood journey the importance of togetherness and support in motherhood. When the opportunity came to bring SM to our community, Taylor knew she had to do it! Taylor’s as sweet as she is talented and we can’t wait to see her smiling face welcoming mamas into this amazing space.
The Katy series launches on Thursday September 5th and runs for 5 weeks. It’s designed for moms with children ages newborn to 36 months, as these can be the most trying years for moms. We can speak from experience that it helps to have a mama tribe who has kiddos the same age/phase you’re in. We truly wouldn’t have gotten through the first year with our boys without each other’s support.
