Katy's Fall Guide to Photographers

It’s officially FALL, y’all!! Yes, we know, it doesn’t feel like it…. patience, non-Texans…. it will come eventually. BUT, regardless of the temperature outside, it is that time to be thinking about and scheduling Fall and even Winter & Christmas pictures. Don’t stress though! We are here to help! Here at Katy Moms Network, we LOVE supporting all the amazingly talented photographers we have right here in the Katy area. There are the photographers that we have mentioned before and will continue mentioning, and then there are the new photographers (or at least new to us) that cross our path that we can’t wait to share with you. Many of them are Moms themselves, and all of them women entrepreneurs, with their own unique style and personality.

Anne Schmidt has been documenting the lives of people with her camera for over fifteen years. Her past experience as a newspaper photojournalist gave her the skills to observe and capture real life moments that portray honesty and heartfelt emotion. That skill has translated into her current work documenting births and family life. 

Anne’s family sessions are a perfect combination of the classic family portrait to hang on the wall while also documenting the playful moments and dramatic child portraits that parents love. Originally from Maine, Anne moved to Katy five years and is enjoying Texas life. She lives in Cinco Ranch with her husband and two young daughters.

Jaime Burrow Photography

Jaime, from Jaime Burrow Photography, is the epitome of all things fun, emotion and candid moments. Here’s what she’s all about: she’s a lover of love, sunshine and slightly addicted to cupcakes. She has a heart for exploration and working with people who share the same spirit and desire to create something breathtaking that will last a lifetime.

Weddings, elopements and couples are her specialization, but Jaime enjoys lifestyle sessions as well. She has been a professional photographer for 3 years and has not looked back. Her clients quickly find she is not afraid to be herself, even if it includes a few dad jokes, bad dance moves and the occasional “yaaaas”. She prides herself on being extremely professional, but also is the photographer who brings snacks for her clients during their session. Her clients become friends “in real life” and describe her as creative, patient and willing to please. She believes it’s important to find someone whose work you LOVE- but it is also important you find someone who will bring out the best of who you are in your photos. After all, your story is unique.

Jujuu Photography

Juliana is a full time mama and owner of Jujuu Photography. She is God loving, organic, natural light photographer based in Cypress, however, she has many locations available from Katy all the way to Mavel, Texas!

She started her photography journey by capturing sweet moments of her own babies and family then with the encouragement of her better half, Juliana began doing photography for friends, family, neighbors and referrals at no cost and accepted donations in hopes of one day being able to go on with her dream career full time. God has his perfect timing and in the midst of thinking the world was falling apart as she had to leave the corporate world to stay home and raise her babies, what once was a dream slash hobby started becoming her reality!! Photography is her passion and capturing detailed shots and candid moments makes her heart warm, the open country and cows are her happy place, she is obsessed with whites, neutrals, pastels and her favorite of all – blush! Throughout her sessions you will feel right at home as if you have known her for years, she is such a sweet soul and loving person. Juliana is amazing with your little ones and her favorite is chasing toddlers during her sessions!! 

Little Fig Photography

Erin Cheatham is the owner & photographer behind Little Fig Photography. Based in Katy, Erin is an on-location, natural light lifestyle and portrait photographer with a focus on capturing natural and timeless images. Erin loves connecting with people and strives to get to know each and every one of her clients. Nothing is more of a compliment than when clients return and she has the opportunity to watch as your family grows. She really comes alive when she is able to capture the fleeting moments and expressions otherwise lost to time.

Photography is a gift that is part of her DNA. Her grandfather actually built his own dark room in a tiny closet to develop his photos back in the day. Additionally, capturing life in images has been a part of Erin’s life for as long as she can remember. She learned from her mom to always have a camera in hand. As a young girl, she was building scrapbooks and photo albums in an effort to keep her memories alive for years to come. She now gets to do this for her clients in the most beautiful way. She furthered her journey with a photography class at Katy High School, followed by a Minor in Photography from Baylor University.  She now lives in Cinco Ranch with her husband and two boys and loves the opportunity she has now to service the community where she grew up.

Mandi Thompson Photography

Mandi Thompson is a natural light portrait photographer with an appreciation for all the little details that bring so much feeling. Through photographing her own family and friends, she realized early on that she wanted to provide a stress-free experience that captures authentic imagery that families will look back on fondly for years to come. She loves creating images that have the power to transport you back to this specific season of life by documenting your little loves just the way they are. As a mom herself, these are the images she treasures the most. The fact that she can gift these types of memories to other families brings her utmost joy!

Mandi is married to her college sweetheart and has two little girls and a golden retriever, which rounds out her family circus.

The Photo Gal Photography

Meet Susan Del Broccolo, also known as “The Photo Gal”! 

Susan is a wife and a mom to two girls. She a family, portrait, maternity and newborn photographer based in Katy Texas. Five years ago, she began photographing her own daughters for the family photo albums and never knew it would turn into her passion! 

Photographing families has always been a love of hers and she has been so humbled to be able to provide joy to other families. As a photographer, Susan tries to capture as many memories as possible and keep those special moments from running away! During your sessions, she wants you to remember the laughs, the sweet looks amongst one another and the genuine smiles. She loves for her families to feel at ease and remember the memories that occurred during the session! 

When she is not capturing shots on her camera…she is drinking coffee, hiking with her family, traveling in their school bus that they have been converting into a tiny home, and playing Barbies with her daughters. 

T.H.E. Photography

Tricia H. Eaton is the owner of T.H.E. Photography, a local lifestyle photography studio focusing on families, newborns, and engagement portraits. Tricia is a mom of three young girls and started her photography journey several year agp with the idea of documenting them while she was living overseas. That eventually inspired her to launch T.H.E. Photography. 

She’s always had a passion for capturing natural and emotional images. Life is about more than perfectly posed portraits. It is also about the way mom runs her hands through her daughter’s hair and sweet butterfly kisses with her son. It is the laughter, joy, and embraces that Tricia wants to capture for you. These days are long and the years are short, and too easily allowed to slip by. She believes each family has their own pulse and wants to capture portraits that tell yours so you can cherish this time forever.
