A Night Full Of Love & Community For Moms

Exactly one week ago, we wrapped up our Moms Night Out event at Newmark Homes. Seven days later and we’re still on a high like you wouldn’t believe. What a beautiful, special night. It was a night all about moms. We wanted an event that would make you feel good, get you out of the house for an evening, and give you a true sense of community. That’s what this platform is all about- community.

Throughout the event we’d stop in the midst of the crazy and just look at each other, look at our friends, sometimes even mouth to each other “oh my gosh, can you believe this!?” The most surreal part was seeing mamas lined up outside in the cold, but with the most warm smiles on their faces. We are still pinching ourselves that people show up to the things we do. It’ll never be lost on us that you all support us and have since we started.
What we have here is special, moms. And by we, we mean ALL of us. All of you. We stayed late after the event, watching every mom leave and hugging their necks again if we could. Before we knew it the clock was 11pm and only the Newmark team and the gracious cleaning crew were left. We stood there in the beautiful design space talking to our amazing hosts just reminiscing on the evening, how successful it was, how happy all the women were, how happy WE all were. Newmark Marketing Director Melissa Guerra commented that she loved how every mom who came in got a hug from us, that we truly greeted every mom who talked through that door with kindness, warmth, and love. That’s what we’ve built with you mamas. When we see you, we feel like you’re our friends. We’ve been on this journey together and none of this would be possible without your support, without you all loving the things we’re doing.

Judging from the comments that evening and since, we think you all loved the event! That night meant the absolute world to us. The moms who came, stood in line in the cold, said the most touching things to us, and to all the businesses and friends who helped and contributed in such a meaningful way. Community. Our village, Our tribe. Love. These are all words that come to mind when thinking about this event.
We stood in the parking lot together at the end of the night and all we could say was, wow. We never thought these events would be a part of what we did. It all started with small mom meet ups and it was there that we knew this is what it was all about. Getting out from the computer and phone screens and connecting with moms in person is what really makes our hearts happy.
Our event in May was when we finally woke up to there was a need for this in the community. We thought we’d plan an event for 60 or so moms and 500 moms rsvp’d – over 200 crammed inside Board & Brush and filled that space with so much love. We knew then that these Moms Night Out events would have to be a huge part of what we do.
As long as you mamas keep loving them, we’ll keep hosting! Thank you to all of you who came, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. To all the mamas who didn’t get to come, we promise a space in the Spring that can home more of us. We hope to build and get better and better at these. It’s all for you guys and you all deserve the world.
Aside from the 240 or so of you who came to the event last week, we also wanted to give some extra love to all the people who made this event possible. And thank you to the amazing team for believing in us and our mission to bring moms together, letting us bring over 200 moms into your gorgeous design space, and to the women we worked closest with, Melissa & Fay, you two are true gems. We also think Melissa deserves an award for putting up with two crazy moms who are by no means event planners. She worked with us with such grace, understanding, and unwavering support and encouragement. We know she had so much more on her plate than our event, but she always set our minds at ease, was only a text away, and was just darn fun to see and hang out with leading up to the event! Thank you for all you did to make the evening what it was. From the small details, to the big ones, we could have done none of this without you. To the entire Newmark team, thank you!

This is a veteran and mama owned brokerage and aside from Nat’s husband joining the them over a year ago, we’ve truly connected with the mamas of this group. Event planning/executing/decorating guru, Tiffany Howard with Glamfetti – wow, we’d be lost without you, sister. Truly. Thank the good Lord above for giving us people in our lives who are so, so good at what they do. She’s organized, knows events, and has the ability to transform any space. Tiffany already knows she’s stuck with us – we refuse to do an event without her. Ever. She’s as kind as she is talented and as warm and bubbly as she is creative and we’re honored to call her a friend. Seeing everything she’s built from the ground up with her business and watching her continue to reach new goals is so fun. She’s a successful business woman, one of the busiest women we know, but always makes those around her feel like they’re the most important person in the room.
