Woman owned and founded in the heart of Texas, Common Assembly is a small business built on dreams of creating change. And not just change in the fashion world. Founder, Karina Shivdasani, has one of the biggest hearts we’ve seen. She runs her company with amazing women at her side and its their belief that as women, we all share a common thread: We want to look good, feel good, and do good.
At Common Assembly, they provide women with a destination to shop ethical, effortless fashion and a place they can be reminded to be kind to themselves, too. Kind fashion is their motto and they stay true to it in how they do business. When you shop with them, you truly are helping spread kindness.
Through ethical manufacturing, an eco-conscious approach, and their commitment to showing all women with no retouching, they are leaders in the space of doing good.
Let’s start with who they choose to do business with. The team at Common Assembly selectively collaborate with vendors who share their common values, requiring suppliers to sign their Kind Fashion Contract. It means they have committed to: Pay fair wages & benefits to their employees, provide healthy & safe working conditions, and follow local environmental regulations relating to waste, pollutants and toxins.
The team is also cognizant of their environment footprint. They carefully curate their assortments with quality pieces that inspire, can be styled multiple ways, and can be worn year after year. The goal is to encourage consumers to hold on to pieces longer so that together we can be kinder to our planet.

Along with all of this, another one of our favorite things about this brand is that they have a commitment to showcasing all women- not only is their representation on their website with models of all shapes, sizes, and races, their sizing is inclusive of all sizes.
The way these women have been able to create and cultivate a culture of kindness in their brand is remarkable. Specifically in the fashion industry, it’s hard to find brand who are authentic, real, and progressive. Especially in Texas. In a world where society, social media, culture tries to program what beauty is, Common Assembly is inspiring us to look inward for what makes us feel beautiful and love ourselves through it.
We’ve been giant fans of this brand for over a year and being able to partner with them on a curated line for moms has been a dream come true. We truly do have such similar goals in what we do: we want to live out kindness and we want to make all women feel good, inside and out.
