Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in the Houston area?
Brian is originally from Sulphur, La. Went to school at Louisiana Tech and LSU Physical Therapy before moving to Dallas.
Lisa is from South Africa and Arkansas and graduated with an Accounting degree from the University of Central Arkansas.
We’ve been in Katy 7 years.
When did you first discover the benefits about Cryotherapy and what are those amazing benefits?
As a PT, I’ve always known the benefits of cryotherapy on pain, swelling and inflammation. In the mid 2000’s, Whole Body Cryo started to come to the US and I became aware of it as some of the Dallas area pro sports teams began using it. Whole Body Cryo 4 main benefits are 1) whole body anti-inflammatory & pain reduction 2) whole body collagen release 3) metabolism boost 4) endorphin release
When did you open Restore Hyperwellness?
We soft opened July 2020 and Grand Opened August 2020. We’re having our 1 Year Anniversary August 26-29th.
Tell us about your services and how you cater to patients in the wellness space?
Restore Hyper Wellness + Cryotherapy (Restore) is the leading retail provider of, what it coins, “Hyper Wellness” services in the United States. As a comprehensive health and wellness center, Restore provides whole body and localized cryotherapy, IV drip therapy, stretch therapy, Cryoskin Facials, Slimming and Toning, mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infrared saunas, red and near infrared light therapy, compression therapy and micronutrient testing. In its efforts to make wellness treatments more affordable and accessible for everyone, Restore is dedicated to helping as many people as possible feel better, so they can do more of what they love.
What made you decide to open your own business specializing in these services?
I’ve owned Physical Therapy clinics in the past and saw Restore as a way to get on the front end and for clients to be proactive about their health and wellness, avoid the use of medications, recover more fully, and allow clients to avoid the hassles of dealing with insurance.
Favorite success story since opening your business?
Hard to list just one.
We’ve had many clients with various auto-immune disorders be able to significantly cut back on their medications while living a more active life.
We’ve had multiple Covid long haulers quickly return to normal after utilizing our services.
And we’ve had many High School athletes utilize our services to perform their best and go on to play at top tier universities.
Who is your ideal customer?
Anyone that wants to take a proactive approach to their health and wellness so that they can Do More of what they love. We offer services that benefit everyone from 12 to 100 years of age.
What keeps you inspired to help people?
It’s rewarding to see people get better and it’s a pleasure to get to know and interact with our clients by getting to know what’s going on in their lives, their families, etc.
What makes your business unique?
There isn’t another business that offers all the services we do at a price point that people can afford. These are the types of services that professional teams or major colleges might have available for their athletes, and we are bringing it to the Katy community.
Tell us about Cryoskin! Sounds magical.
Cryoskin offers Slimming, Toning and Facials. Slimming is a permanent fat loss solution where you lose centimeters in 1 session. Toning is great for smoothing skin such as cellulite or creating more definition as you might want before a body building competition. Facials tighten the face to reduce lines, wrinkles and a double chin.
You also offer IV services- can you talk about that?
Most everyone is walking around dehydrated and deficient on certain vitamins, minerals and nutrients. We offer IV therapy to address those needs. To address dehydration, one 1000ml bag of IV fluid is like drinking 2 gallons of water. To that bag we add custom mixtures to address clients deficiencies. We have pre-made IV drips to boost immunity, boost metabolism, pre and post competition drips and drips that provide energy or relaxation. We offer 3 different BioMarker blood tests to look at your specific 1) vitamin, mineral, & nutrient levels 2) food sensitivities 3) genetics of how you process your nutrients
Advice for anyone wanting to start their own practice?
Restore is a franchised business based out of Austin. We have 95 locations around the US and will have ~300 in the next 2 years. My main advice is to find something for which the Purpose fits your Passion.
Biggest challenges you see in our traditional healthcare system today?
INSURANCE and rising health care costs. It is imperative that people start taking a proactive approach to their own health and watching out for their own best interests.
What’s your favorite part about practicing in the Katy community?
It’s grown so much, but my clients still run into people they know while at our studio. With all the family activities and athletics in Katy, there is a sense of community from all the ways the community has to interact, even if they don’t live in the same neighborhood or are zoned to the same schools.
Future plans for your practice?
We are Grand Opening The Sports Lab next door the same weekend as our 1 Year Anniversary. It will be focused on leveraging all the new technology we now have available (3D Motion Capture, Artificial Intelligence, Body Scans, learning Algorithms, Inertial Motion Units) to reduce the chance of injuries and improve athletic performance. It will also provide Performance Training and Physical Therapy.
