“Opening the doors of this school feels like the start of an amazing journey because we know we are providing a distinct opportunity for families in our community,” says Sarah Sagullo who is serving as Director of Enrollment for Ivybrook Aliana. “Our new campus houses a place for children to learn, explore and grow while honoring on their individual strengths. We hope this is a place where not only the little ones will enjoy coming to but also a place for parents to cultivate friendships and become involved in creating a community.”
Ivybrook Academy, based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, is recognized for its multifaceted approach to early childhood education. By combining elements of Montessori and Reggio Emilia education with Multiple Intelligence research, Ivybrook Academy crafts a balanced curriculum with an emphasis on creating a continuous cycle of learning designed to reflect a child’s interests and needs.
Sarah is operating Ivybrook Aliana alongside her husband Paolo Sagullo and his sister Veronica Yem. All three owners are parents, and this trio is very excited to bring such a unique preschool curriculum to their neighbors in the area.
“When I first discovered Ivybrook, I immediately wished there had been a half-day program like this when my four children were in preschool,” explains Veronica. “Our curriculum is a perfect fit for busy young families. Building this school has been our labor of love, and the end result will be so worth all of our efforts.”
Sarah and Paolo have two boys and their younger son, Nicolas, will be one of the first students at Ivybrook Aliana. “I wish I could have gone to a school like this,” says Paolo who goes on to say, “what we love about the way Ivybrook operates is that there is a purposeful awareness to focus on a child’s social and emotional intelligence. This is not just a place to be educated it’s a place where children can grow and create a life-long love of learning.”
Veronica, Sarah, Paolo, and the entire team at Ivybrook Academy Aliana will begin offering campus tours starting December 15, 2022.
