Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in the Katy area?
I lived a great part of my life in Friendswood, TX, and we moved to Katy 10 years ago.
How many kids do you have and how old are they?
I have two sweet girls, 10 and 12 years old.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you… 
I am a bilingual dyslexia teacher interventionist. Working with children has been my number one passion.
Favorite local things to do in the Katy area?
Katy has many fun places to visit with the family. We enjoy strolling through La Centerra for a quick bite or a sweet treat, or even enjoying a cocktail while taking in the summer nights. Another great pass time is taking our girls to catch the latest flick at the local movie theaters.
What is your go-to activity for yourself for pampering or for fun?
Some of the things I enjoy the most are visiting local restaurants with my family and getting a massage regularly.
Give us your best mom hack that makes life easier.
A mom hack that makes my life easier is meal prep on Sundays and Wednesdays. I like to plan out meals that my daughters like and are healthy for the whole family. Meal prepping saves me a lot of time during the week.

At Unique Urban Events, we offer modern party lounge furniture and elegant table design rentals. Whether you’re planning a birthday party, anniversary, wedding celebration or beyond, our VIP lounges, tables, backdrops and more will make your event one to remember. Our clients appreciate our attention to detail and notice the love we pour into every event.
When did you officially launch your business and what’s been the biggest blessing in it all?
I began my vision with Stylish Party Tables in 2020, which quickly transitioned to Unique Urban Events in 2021.
The change brought on a larger amount of party design elements and options that makes Unique Urban Events a step above the rest. We offer a variety of party lounge furniture options, table scape designs to meet the visions of our clients. We live to our name and strive to make every celebration design “unique”.
The biggest blessing has been the support of our community. We are overjoyed to see our clients happy with our services. In turn, they tell others and help our business grow. Their continued kindness and support is a blessing we are forever grateful for.
What’s your back story- what did you do before launching your business?
I have always enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends. I love to bring our family and friends together in an extraordinary party atmosphere.
Do you think it prepared you for being an entrepreneur?
Yes because I saw how much time and effort I put in to make a spectacular event for my family and friends. Most people would dread such a feat, but I enjoyed it. I loved going above and beyond to make the celebrations memorable.
Favorite events you’ve worked on?
One of my favorite nights was setting up for Katy Moms’ Network Night Out!!! However, all the events I have been a part of have given me great satisfaction. I feel fortunate in meeting many local people who trust us in creating a perfect ambience for their guests, and who have enjoyed partying with style as we are known do at Unique Urban Events.
Best advice for mamas wanting to launch into their own business?
Find something you like to do very much even though you don’t consider yourself an expert in it- yet. The more you pour your heart into what you are passionate for, your vision and dream will come to fruition.
Future plans and hopes for your business?
We continue to find and introduce the newest and latest trend in event furniture rental. We strive for our current and future clients’ 100% satisfaction by creating incredible party packages they will never forget: Unique and Memorable.
